All golds are made from 24 carat gold leaf.  Gold seconds come in both flat and wavy in gold. The lustrous blue, copper and silver are coloured white gold that has been sealed under a thin layer of glass . A big saving on first quality golds, they are seconds because they may be irregular in size, slightly chipped or scratched.  They still look wonderful!  The imperfections are part of the charm and can give your art an 'antiqued' look.

Note: As seconds are a byproduct of individual mosaic projects from the studio attached to the Mexican factory, they are not always available.

100g gold is very approximately 70-80 pieces and, as being seconds, they vary in size.

NEW. In the Jan 2012 shipment are five golds, as shown below. I have shown each gold with one gold-side up and one gold-side down. The wavy copper, flat copper and flat gold are on a slightly blue glass, so when the pieces are tuned over the yellow gold interacts with the blue glass to give a green tinge. The blue azul gold is also on a blue tinted glass. The dark copper sits on a dark smoky glass substrate.
